Round 2 May 27th

Raceway Park had another great weekend of Pee Wee and Pit Bike racing. As we continue to see more and more new faces at these events, it just shows us how much bigger this can get.  Round two brought us some great racing with some new comers in this weeks 16+50 Mod class. Kessler took the moto wins while  Barry Goodwin capitalized on Denglers flat tire making a 4-2 good for 2nd overall. First timers Jeremi Truex and Paul Scott showed they can mix it up as well. Truex's consistent 3-3 gets him  3rd and Paul Scott takes a 5-4 for 4th. Dengler salvaged a 5th overall with a 2-13 keeping him in the points chase.  A 3rd and 4th overall for Chris Duymich and  Matt Burnett in the 12to15 50cc stock is enough to tie them up for the beginning of a nice points race,  while Joseph Gluck went 2-1 for the win.  Jeff Roma won both motos in the 16+50 stock plus but John Burlew rode extremely well this weekend keeping Roma in sight both motos, and with Tommy Ulikowski's 3rd,  these three are in a great points battle.   Scott Kalnas and Morgan Holbrook swapped overalls for the first two rounds in the 16+ Midsize class, and find themselves in a points tie with Dan Williams in a close 3rd.  The race to watch was the 16+50open, Kessler grabs the start in the first moto with Roma and Dengler right behind, Dengler pushes hard to get by Roma and they run side by side for the first lap, then Dengler makes the pass at the finish line turn but Roma has the momentum and looks like he's going to take it back but over jumps the first double and  flies off the second  and goes down. Kessler out front with Dengler on a mission and  is  slowly closing, two laps to go and they are in lappers, they both get threw and Dengler is there,  Dengler make the pass and takes the moto win. Moto two Kessler took the start and never looked back to take his second overall win in the 50cc open. Dengler finished 2nd overall while Bryan Wallace has an impressive 3-3 for 3rd overall for his first time in this class.  Nils Tribus returns to Raceway taking 2nd overall in the 16+open 150, but  David Farmer has control with a 2nd at round 1 and the overall win at round 2 whitch puts himself in a nice points lead. Don't forget round 3 is June 24th and we will have a early paid practice. See you then.
