Round #1 of the Trapani Pit Bike Race!
Round #1 of the Trapani Pit Bike Series was a Huge Turn out! 97 Entries Ripped under the lights at Raceway Park Saturday night! They called for 2'' of rain but it never came until 30 min after the races were done. Was there excitement? The adult 50cc Stock Plus came down to the wire. With Ben Firestone leading, Dave Peary put on a hard charge that resulted in the final decision of the finish line flagger. What a great moto from my view on the infield. Some races had quite a few lead changes. When 17 riders lined up for the premiere class I had chills that continued throughout the race. I thought I was at a national, those top guy's were flying. Tony Roth came away with top honors in the Premiere Class followed by Jeff Roma and Chris Hutchinson. The Dash-For-Cash had 23 entries and was just the same with Tony Roth, Jeff Roma and Nills Tribus. Nice ride for Cody Kessler and Frank Lettieri going home with two first place finishes each from four of the youth classes. The track will be different with more lighting on May 21and I can't wait to see who does what to make those Pit Bikes even faster.
